Primary Art Class starts 5th Nov

Service Description

Ages 6-10 yrs (adults do not have to stay with 8years plus ) 6 week course Local artist Abi Brown will introduce wonderful techniques and approaches to art in a relaxed, fun and supportive environment. We want kids to laugh while exploring materials and creativity with zero pressure to produce something perfect. This term we will try Gelli plate printing, charcoal and chalk drawing, weaving, watercolour painting and lots of Christmas crafts! Whether your child loves being arty or would benefit from our small, nurturing group we would love to welcome you. Workshops encourage cognitive development and confidence building. This subsidised course includes all materials, a drink and a snack *Please dress your child in clothes that do not matter/wear an apron - there is a chance of getting messy! The chapel offers small groups (max 10) in a supportive and caring environment; we always use lovely materials and tea/squash/snacks are always available. We rely completely on grants and donations - we have two subsidised tiers, plus if you are able to donate the full cost of the course please do. If you can afford to do so it will enable us to support future classes and our work in the community. So far this year each class has been costing us an average of £19.56 per person to run and these costs are due to rise this term. The Quarry Chapel never wants anyone who would like to take part not to do so due to prohibitive costs.
